3rd gave me flowers when he came home last night.

of course i was surprised. wala namang okasyon eh. trip lang nya siguro. .

then last wednesday, we celebrated anok & beth's 9th wedding anniversary at bronson & susan'r place. we ate pizzas and chicken. grabe kainan na naman!

this coming sunday, we are planning another potluck picnic at cedar park. i just hope the weather is good that day. i still haven't decided yet what food 3rd and i will bring. bahala na si batman.

by the way, my tita celia who suffered a mild stroke recently was rushed to the hospital again by her friends last monday 'cause she felt numbness on her left hand. it was another 24 hours of emotional torture for me and for her family back in pinas. thank God, it was nothing serious and she was discharged the next day. but because of that, we decided to let her daughter, my cousin kay to immediately fly to the US to be with her na. she'll arrive tomorrow, saturday at 2:17 pm central time. she's scheduled to go here in the US on october pa when the semester's over but due to her mom's unstable condition, she filed for a leave of absence at her school (she's in her second year of college taking up nursing) indefinitely.

and lastly, today is the last day of my premium subscription here at xanga. so maybe this will be my last official post.

i'll be moving to a new site and i'll announce it shortly.

this delicious green has been hogging the headlines since the other day. it's been linked to the e.coli outbreak in 20 states. one person already died and a hundred others got sick.

scary eh?

new blog update

yup i'm still awake.

i've finally found the perfect blog for me. yahoo!

lei helped me find some nice blog templates last night and she taught me how to customize it over the phone and YM at the same time until past 10 pm. but for some reason, we couldn't resize the sidebars of the template that we chose. i tried doing it until 1am to no avail so i just went to sleep.

i was awakened by 3rd's loud snoring at around 4:30am and i had a hard time going back to sleep so i just turned on my laptop and tried working on the blog template again. i got so frustrated so i just gave up and searched for other templates. after several minutes of surfing, i finally found IT. i tinkered with it until almost 8am and then i went back to sleep until 9am.

and now i am still awake 'cause i'm still working on it some more. hey, don't expect too much ha, my new blog is so simple lang but all i ever wanted and looked for in a blog is there.

so it's official, i won't renew with xanga anymore and transfer to blogger maybe next week. i just wish i'd be done by then.

my tita celia who works in chicago, IL, suffered a mild stroke and was rushed to the ER last friday. she was at work when it happened. she stayed for 5 days in the hospital and was discharged last tuesday. she's now recuperating at her apartment. i'm just so glad that her friends were there to look after her 'cause her family is in pinas eh.

please help me pray for her speedy and complete recovery.

i only got 7 days left to decide if i want to renew my premium subscription with xanga or just get the free account. i'm having second thoughts on paying $25 for another year because i haven't been blogging as much as i used to. heck, i don't even update my calendar anymore and i already cancelled the automatic rebill option just now. so what should i do...a little help please. my friend lei is suggesting that i try out other blogs but i haven't got the time to look around yet. arrrrggghhhh....

anyway, last tuesday was lei's bday and we all had fun celebrating her bday at their place. there's pizza, kfc chicken, pancit bihon, lasagna and for dessert we had leche flan, fruit salad and brownies. sarap! click this link to watch the photoshow made by lei.

gosh, we really are doing nothing here but eat and hang out together with our friends. it started last friday, we had a potluck dinner at bronson & susan's place. the guys played mahjong at our apartment afterwards and they finished at 6am! then saturday night, we gave a despedida party to the 6 guys who left the market last tuesday at iking & ces' place.

the party was a blast. of course the guys played mahjong and poker again so 3rd came home at 6am. since there were a lot of left-overs, we met up again that sunday night. beth cooked sotanghon and susan brought eggplant omelet.

now you know why we keep on gaining weight!

i learned yesterday that he now belongs to the older age group (4-5 years old) at nantucket. his teacher now is ms. wilson, who handles that age group and also handled their summer camp so at least he'll be familiar with her already. ms. wilson is very nice and cheerful just like joshua's past teachers.

yesterday when we were about to get the gameboy advance sp for josh, 3rd changed his mind and wanted to get the nintendo ds instead. i insisted on getting just the gameboy for josh and told him to just get a psp for himself 'cause i noticed that he spent quite some time looking at it at the store but 3rd wouldn't listen to me so i just gave up.

but guess what, 3rd had to eat crow hehe . he called me up this afternoon and told me that he realized that getting the nintendo ds was a mistake and we should have just gotten the psp instead.

ha!

see? i was right all along but this guy never ever listens to me.

and so to cut the long story short...

1. we returned the nintendo ds.

2. we got the psp for him and the gameboy for josh.

as for me, eto nakatunganga while my 2 boys are happily tinkering with their games.

haay...
